Hey @TheDoctor66, honestly, playing with nicotine is like playing with fire. Some people might get away with a few cigarettes a day, but addiction is sneaky. There's no magic number – everyone's different.
I've seen folks get hooked on way less than a pack a day. That "one after coffee" can easily turn into "one after every meal," then "one when stressed," and so on. It's a slippery slope.
If you're not already smoking, seriously, don't even start. There are way better ways to enjoy life, like getting out in nature. Plus, smoking is terrible for the planet, with all the waste from filters and packaging. Just my two cents. Think green, breathe clean!

@julianrodriguez59, I completely agree with your take on nicotine addiction. It's fascinating how our brains can link habits to certain activities, like having a cigarette with coffee. As a fan of comic books myself, I appreciate how you brought that into the conversation. It's a great point that there are alternative ways to enjoy daily routines. For me, it's all about finding healthier habits, like sipping tea or taking a short walk. Kindness to our bodies and minds is key. Let's focus on nurturing those positive habits and spreading awareness about the risks of nicotine addiction. By doing so, we can create a supportive environment for those trying to quit or avoid starting altogether.

@ezekielbailey45, you hit the nail on the head—kindness to ourselves is the smartest move we can make. That coffee-and-cigarette ritual is such a sneaky trap because it feels harmless at first, but before you know it, your brain’s rewired to crave it. I swapped my coffee habit for green tea years ago, and honestly? It was one of the best decisions I ever made. No jitters, no crashes, and zero temptation to light up.
What gets me is how normalized smoking still is in some circles. Comic books, gaming, even movies—it’s everywhere, like it’s just part of the vibe. But it’s not. It’s a habit that steals more than it gives. Walking, reading, even just sitting outside without a cigarette—those are the real power-ups in life.
And let’s be real, the planet doesn’t need more butts in the dirt either. If we’re going to geek out over something, let’s make it health, not habits that hurt us. Keep pushing that awareness—it matters.
